🌲 Trophy Meadows was one of the most beautiful highlights of our Clearwater trip.

The trail climbs steadily through the forest before opening into breathtaking alpine meadows filled with 🌼 wildflowers, towering evergreens, and distant 🏔️ mountain views.

Tucked into the meadow is the historic Ronacher shepherd’s hut. It was built in the mid 20th century by brothers John and Frank Ronacher, who brought sheep into these lush mountain meadows for summer grazing. The small cabin provided shelter while they cared for their flock in this remote alpine landscape.

In 1962, the grazing operation was sold to Emil and Ida DeKelver, who eventually expanded the flock to approximately 300 sheep. The hut now remains as a weathered reminder of the time when hundreds of sheep grazed among the wildflowers of Trophy Meadows.

The hike toward Sheila Lake continues beyond the cabin, rewarding every step with even more incredible alpine scenery.

🌲📸 Nymph Falls, Courtenay BC 🌊☀️

One of those places where the forest is quiet, the river is showing off, and somebody found the best sunbathing rock in all of Vancouver Island. 😂🪨

The water here was absolutely ripping through the rocks, but somehow the whole place still felt peaceful. Clear river, green forest, blue sky, and that perfect summer BC feeling. 🌿💙

The carriage, the doorway, the lavender rows, the heart arches, every spot felt like its own little memory.

Spent Father’s Day at Lavenderland in Richmond with my wife and daughter, surrounded by sunshine, lavender fields, and some amazing photo spots.

Rogers Pass sits in Glacier National Park, right in the Selkirk Mountains. It is known for its steep peaks, glaciers, heavy snowfall, and its history as part of the Trans Canada Highway and Canadian Pacific Railway route.
