3 years of missing you. Of not hearing you say my name as i walk into a room. Of not hearing your laugh except in my memories. 3 years. How can it be. I still hear someone cough the same way you did and expect to turn a corner and see you.

Goal is 48 books for 2026...i am currently at 34. Started this Stephen King book this weekend cause it felt like the right october kinda spooky vibe....AND I AM HOOKED. 😳💀

It's the tail end of an extra long weekend & lately I have found myself thinking that (outside of the obvious exception of the loss of my parents and missing Cam)....I am the happiest I think I have been in a long time.
I have 2 fantastic kids who are healthy & happy & thriving (even if one is far away, haha). I love my big orange house with all of its quirks & temper tantrums. I have family & friends who make me laugh but have also learned in the last couple of years, that we can lean on each other as we all struggle with our own stories of loss, grief, illness. I have a job I love & coworkers that make going into the office a happy thing. And, of course, Pugsley, Timmy, Big Finn & L'il Finn.
I am just really, really happy (outside of the sad...two things can exist in tandem). I used to say that I just wanted to feel truly happy and secure. And right now...I think I do. And I am grateful for it all. 💓💓💓
