Please allow me to introduce you to Al and Elaine — two truly wonderful souls whose kindness and joy shine as brightly as the treasures they care for. They’ve created their home into one of the happiest corners of Alberta nostalgia, and you can see it in their smiles. Al holds a vintage camera as it’s one of his cherished gems, while Elaine stands alongside with that warm, inviting “you’ve got to see this” spark. Together, they radiate the kind of gentle joy that comes from discovering something special and wanting to share it.
Behind them stands the legendary “Affordabago” — a one‑of‑a‑kind vehicle lovingly transformed into a rolling museum of prairie history. Its sides are covered in weathered Alberta license plates, old saws and tools, quirky metal relics, and faded advertisements rescued from barns, shops, and dusty backroads. Every inch tells a story stitched together from decades of grit, charm, and good humour. Anyone who has seen it in the Seba Beach Regatta Parade will never forget the moment it rolls by.
I’m deeply grateful to have been given a personal tour of this remarkable collection. Every artifact has a story, and Al shared each one with such generosity and pride.
