Looking back at all of the pivots and redirects and "fail to start" moments over the last 15 years, it's strange to say that I still feel like I'm just finding my balance.

I've done so many things in my career as a photographer. I've opened 4 studios and closed 3. I've photographed everything and niched all the way down to one thing. I've been an educator, a specialist, a person people come to for advice.

30 year old me who stood in her living room (that would later become her studio) would have her mind fu***ng blown at all of the things we've done in 15 years.

I used to think your 40s was the finish line. Turns out it's the plot twist.

I'm photographing 40 women over 40 for a new project called Legendary Women, because the stories I keep hearing from women in this decade have nothing to do with fading and everything to do with finally showing up exactly as themselves. It all started with me.

There was a day in 2017 during one of my first bo***ir marathons and everything was going wrong, no one was happy, one girl even up and left.

When I got home I took a looooong look in the mirror and realized all of my self doubt, lack of confidence, imposter syndrome bu****it was leaking into my business like toxic waste.

I had to fix me before I could hold space for others.
