My name is Jam Ong and I am a self taught photographer who’s been shooting since childhood. When I was younger I was intrigued with what blackbox my father was looking into during parties. Not long after I learned that the “blackbox” was actually used to keep images. Images that I then learned to capture myself and I eventually using them to tell stories. Soon after, I transitioned to digital phot

ography still taking with me the values and techniques I used back when I was still using film. This also lead me to explore other avenues in photography, portraiture, event photography, plant and wildlife photography and street photography just to name a few. Even though cameras in the market give the user a fully automated user experience, I believe that the user’s direct input make the images different, turning pictures to photographs.

Yeah, I've got a drone now! This the first banger of a photo I've gotten.

Story Time: this was in the midst of the recent heatwave that the PNW had. I deceded to take a drive and fly the drone. This shot was the very first shot I've capture using the Mini 2!

The DNG quality was great, though I did notice some weird purple abberations on this shot that I was able to remove using Lightroom. Otherwise, Photo quality is really great considering this is the entry level drone!

THE UNSUNG HEROES OF THE COVID19 PANDEMIC

I shot these in the begining of the lockdowns. I wanted to grab more photos throughout but since the lockdowns, I was unable to shoot more. I wanted to focus on the unsung heroes of the pandemic. While all of use bunkered down in the safety of our homes, these people kept on working - making sure our quality of life does not get disrupted. They deserve celebration as well!

Did you know: there is an outdoor reading space on top of the where you can go to disconnect with a good book, or like myself - a camera. Hope everyone is have a good week, happy hump day!

Hello, it's been a while! This photo was shot right before the start of the pandemic last winter, I never had a chance to post it. This was that one day where it snowed all day then started raining as a got into downtown . I was soaked (my camera as well, thank you for weather sealing!) having the camera propped up on a trashcan while I was shooting this.

Anyways, I hope everone out there is keeping safe and still being creative. I've recently moved my creative energies to streaming and youtube. This way I can still be creative while being at home. If you'd like to catch those, check out my personal IG ! Don't worry though, there will be still new content posted on this account going forward since there was a backlog of stuff I still have to edit from 2020!
