This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of meeting Andre and Rebecca for the first time as I photographed their beautiful wedding. 💒 ❤️🥂
Oddly enough, through serendipitous happenstance this was the second time meeting Rebecca’s Ontarian Mother.
The first was exactly 10 years ago, on a flight back to Canada from Dublin. We were randomly sat next to each other on the plane after both separately attending the Bruce Springsteen show in Galway. I believe she was right up front and I was back in the nosebleeds. 🏟️🎸
We chatted most of the flight home about how it was my first and only time seeing him and how she had been to over 100+ concerts of his. It was a lovely chat but never in my life did I think I would run into this lady again. ✈️
However, the universe had other plans. Four years later, her youngest daughter who grew up in Ontario met a Newfoundlander who was up working on the mainland. They fall in love, build a beautiful life and eventually get jobs and settle in here.
A couple years later, I randomly get booked by the groom because I had shot his best man’s brothers wedding back in 2019 and I quote “it turned out best kind”. (Shout out to Allan’s video for constantly pulling through in more ways than one). 📼
It wasn’t until the ceremony on Saturday when the officiant made a comment about Bruce that it all hit me and I started to put together why Rebecca’s mom seemed so familiar. 🤯
Mind was gone. This world can be so small sometimes.
