Icebergs and Whales from May to July. If you ask most people when to go to Newfoundland, that's the answer you'll get. Those are definitely unique experiences but most people never get to experience the fall colours clinging to the rugged coastline.

The hike from Freshwater Bay to Blackhead is one of the most scenic hikes along the whole East Coast Trail. The sprawl of coastline is totally unapproachable by boat because of the jagged cliffs and feirce currents.

Steep underwater drop-offs cause powerful waves that continuously pummel the shoreline ensuring any small vessel caught in the torrent will have no way out.
