A photo session often transcends mere images; it’s a unique opportunity to capture moments of authenticity and beauty, where individuals can truly feel special. The environment is typically crafted to evoke joy and confidence, allowing everyone involved to step outside their daily routines.

During these sessions, the focus shifts to the individual, celebrating their unique essence. Whether it’s the gentle touch of natural light highlighting a smile or the laughter shared between friends, these moments create a tangible sense of connection and self-affirmation.

They’re happily ever after.
Reason to celebrate or at least suppose to be. We hold our sons hands in hopes one day they will find the hand that fits just right with theirs.  The one that is meant to take their hand when the time is right for you to let go.  What no one tells you is that sometimes the moments you dream of don’t always flow as perfectly as you imagine.  As much as their perfect day is filled with love and happiness a mother of a son’s day is filled with so much more.  It’s a roller coaster of feelings and emotions. Highs and lows.  Sadness and joy all because we love.  Mom suddenly becomes hyphenated and You are now a Mother-of-the groom quickly to become a mother-in-law.
Times I wish I were at my best sadly and with much regret were my worst.   Moments that should have been seen thru smiles and laughter were seen thru silent tears and sadness.  Moments that should be felt with pride became shadowed in shame.  Through fear of losing I was unable to embrace all that I was gaining.  I became a square peg trying to squeeze into a round hole consumed by the not knowing where I would fit, lost and unsure of where I belonged in this new chapter. Instead of focusing on my son’s happiness I got tangled in what I now recognize as grief.   I am grateful that both of my sons were bubble wrapped in love on their special days, filled with beauty and joy. That the only happiness lost was mine, and the only sadness felt was within me.  A moment in time I can’t change, take back or re-do.  Moments in time I will mourn because I allowed my sadness to steal my joy.  Moments I hope my sons could feel my heart where maybe all they could see were tears.  I may not have shown up the way my sons would have liked. No special moments between mother and son. Just a silent I love you as I let their hands go. There is no perfect just my imperfect moments and finding my joy in their finding their Happily Ever After and the hands that fit so perfectly in theirs. 💕
