This was a sight I hoped to never see.
Over the last few days in Squamish we have received over 200mm of rain causing all the rivers to blow out and rise by over 1 meter. I had a feeling one of my trail cams was in danger and unfortunately couldn't get to it until this afternoon. As I predicted, my camera was completely submerged in water but to my surprise kept recording from the time the water reached my camera January 31st around 3pm until the 32gb card was filled with underwater footage (nearly 48hrs). Below you will see some of the crazy footage my camera somehow managed to still capture including fish and even an otter chasing a small fish!! As of right now the camera is drying out infront of the fireplace but it appears to have kept most of the water out and I am quite certain it will be recoverable!!
