I’m a passionate adventure & outdoor photographer based in Squamish, BC

Originally from France, I’ve been a Visual Effects Artist for the Movie & TV industry for the past 7 years and counting, leading the digital environment work on projects such as Dune, Togo, the Fantastic Beasts movies, and Game of Thrones. About a week ago we got lucky to witness some of the strongest Northern Lights in decades - right here in Squamish, BC! Haven't had time to do proper outdoor/night photography in years but it was so great to be back at it and get to enjoy all of it with a beer 5min from home!

Glad that this incredible year is finally getting to an end... among many other things we moved from Vancouver to the Squamish mountains earlier in the summer and are now seeing the end of our major home renovation... and it's starting to really feel like home!

Having some of our adventures on the walls (in addition to waking up with the mountains views everyday) certainly does help!

Happy Holidays everyone!

A question that often comes around when sharing my photos and adventure is about which gear I use, whether for the photo side of it or for the actual outdoor gear.

Years after years we certainly gathered quite a lot of gear in our tiny apartment (my WFH office looks like a MEC store!) and while I'm not endorsed by any specific brands I certainly have my preferences. I built an exhaustive list of what I'm personally using with some pros&cons, hope you find it useful!

If you have any gear to recommend feel free to share it here... and happy rainy weekend in Vancouver!🍻

My Gear   Here is an extensive list of my current photography and adventure gear. I spend a lot of time finding the best tools out there so I would certainly recommend anything on the list below.I’m not using everything all the time, and some of the gear is only for specific activities and/or sea...

Episode 3 (and last) of my “Adventure Couple” video series is out! Back in our beautiful province of British Columbia having fun in the backcountry off-roading around Harrison Lake with my Side-x-Side and finishing with part of our traditional winter road-trip to the Canadian Rockies: ice skating on frozen lakes and dog-sledding in the middle of the mountains.

Enjoy!

About a year ago Ashley and I were getting married in the middle of the Canadian Rockies, surrounded by family and friends from all around the world... Lots of things have changed since then.

During the wedding, we screened an edit of our best adventure to our guests... I wanted to share it to celebrate our first anniversary! Everything was shot back in 2018 and prior... some great memories from a time when travel was granted to anybody. Here is the first part of it, enjoy! 🍻

Ashley & I just celebrated our first year wedding anniversary last weekend! We were one of the incredibly lucky couples who got to get married before the international lockdown due to the pandemic.

So happy to wake up this morning with snow covering the entire city, just in time for the long weekend! Not quite sure yet if I will get to enjoy it much but it sure feels great to see some white out there!

Throwback to a night on Grouse Mountain Resort a few years ago, after a similar arctic storm... It was the first time I got to witness a Sun Dog! Make sure to look for it if we are lucky enough to get a clear sunset in the next few days!

Have a great long weekend everyone and be safe out there! 🍻🏔️

Winter is certainly one of my favourite seasons to do outdoor photography. The lighting is always unique, you can see a sunset at 4pm, and do astrophotography without having to wait for 2am!

But adventuring in the mountains in winter is also considerably more dangerous than in the summer and requires quite a bit more preparation.

After a few winters and cold nights sleeping outside by -40°C, I'm starting to have a proper workflow to prepare for a snowy outing. Here I focus mostly on simple day hikes in local mountains but I'm hoping to develop it a bit later for longer and more intense adventures such as winter camping.

Hope you find some useful information for your next adventure! 🍻

How to educate and prepare yourself for winter backcountry adventure?
