France - April 2026: Alexia’s solo trip… part 4: from Sri Lanka, I hoped on a place to Abu Dhabi where I had a long layover (but everything was business as usual despite the war), and onto a red eye flight to Paris. Spent a week visiting family & friends, and ate some cheese! Then I got back on a plane to complete my full lap around the planet: Vancouver > Hong Kong > Colombo > Abu Dhabi > Paris > Calgary > Vancouver

Sri Lanka - April 2026: Alexia’s solo trip … part 3: pics from exploring Fort Galle, which was built by the Portuguese in 1588 and later fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onward and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s very quaint, and is great to explore on foot… or Tuk Tuk.

British Columbia- February & March 2026: we’ve been back at our home base of Squamish, BC for just over a month now. Laurent had his knee surgery on February 17 and is recovering nicely at home while I got to enjoy a few mountain bike & ski days.
