Dave Orey Photography

Dave Orey Photography I bought my first camera in 1977 when I studied Journalism Administration at SAIT. I now take photos for fun.

I worked for several publications as a photo journalist/editor before moving to public relations and communications.

He really wanted to yell at the umpire, but didn't want to get thrown out of the game. Maybe you had to be there and know him to appreciate his reaction.

Okay, a couple more baseball photos and then I will quit until next season. This is probably my favorite action photo of 2026. Unfortunately, it's one of our players getting picked-off at first base.

This is pretty close to the action too as this player slides safely across home plate.

I love this view because it is the closest thing you can get to seeing what the pitcher, catcher, umpire and batter see in the heat of the action.
