A few weeks ago, N & B tied the knot.
Before every wedding, I have at least 2–3 consultation calls with my couples, plus plenty of emails in between. And one of the most important things I want to know is: What do YOU want from your wedding day?
Not what I want as your photographer. Not what Instagram says your wedding should look like. You.
N & B were very clear with me: they wanted to spend their wedding day with their family and friends. Portraits and getting that “perfect shot” simply weren’t their biggest priority.
Did my little photographer heart bleed a tiny bit? Absolutely.
But we kept their portrait session to about 25–30 minutes, got what we needed, and then I sent them straight back to the people they actually came there to celebrate with.
Because at the end of the day, it’s your wedding.
Tell your photographer what matters to you. Tell us what doesn’t. Tell your vendors what you need. Tell your guests what you need. Be selfish with your time on your wedding day, you only get to live it once.
And somehow, even with our short portrait window, these two absolutely delivered.
Also… this venue. Every. Single. Time. Easily one of my favourite places to photograph a wedding. 🤍
