I’m so incredibly grateful for my community... the people who uplift, refer, support, and pour love into me, my work, AND my family. Your kindness has helped me grow two businesses and really made me feel like Sooke, Shirley, and Jordan River are home.

To share some of that love back, The Artisan's Garden and myself have teamed up to gift two complimentary Christmas mini photo sessions, happening in the greenhouse on November 15th & 16th.

I’m looking forward to heading to the Cowichan Valley tomorrow morning to take some photos of my dear friends Miller + Co. Wood Studio and their annual Fall Makers Market.

I love the market world and the people it has connected me to, so it always feels like a privilege to work alongside the numerous amazing makers, artisans, and small business owners of Vancouver Island.

These are a few of the images I took in 2023 while at the market. This is my third year heading up there and I always walk away with a number of new treasures and a carload of incredible pumpkins!!

Hi, I’m Amy 👋
I’ve been a photographer for nearing 2 decades, working predominately in Canada and for a while in Australia, plus taking my camera with me wherever I go.

My career has evolved over the years, just as people and businesses needs have changed. I recently launched my new website to reflect what I offer:
- brand photography
- founder sessions
- headshots
- family & couple photography
- adventure elopements

I’m based in Shirley BC, which between Sooke, Jordan River, and Port Renfrew, is a mecca for tourism and I’ve loved photographing people who have been vacationing out this way in recent years.

Southern Vancouver Island is easily accessible to me for a photo shoot and I WILL travel beyond. The Sea-to-Sky corridor is even easily accessible to me as my second home.

If you’re a bit awkward and camera shy - or even if you’re not - I’m an ideal photographer for you (self-professed awkward individual here too). I love to be out in beautiful spaces capturing real and authentic moments that captures the way you felt, not just how you looked.

As I do my total website overhaul, I’m rediscovering client photos that have laid buried on my hard drives for far too long.

Early last year - right after returning from New Zealand - my friend Andrea asked if I could document her residency at Gallery Merrick .

Here’s just a small sample of photos from that day in Downtown Victoria, when the whole family got to join on my photo shoot.

For years - like I’m talking at least 3 - I’ve been saying I was going to do a total overhaul on my website. It’s finally happening and within 3 days I’m at least a third of the way to completing it (who here thought a photography website could be built in a day? 😅).

The new site will finally be a reflection of what I’m offering with my services:
- brand photography
- founder sessions
- family photos
- couples and adventure elopements

I’ll finally feel like I have a space to share photos like these of Janet Docherty, longtime owner and figure head of Merridale Cidery & Distillery, which I took earlier this year.

It’s all coming together and I can’t wait to tell you when it’s ready to check out!
