Through a network of rescues, organizations like are able to help in countries and cities with fewer resources which have uncontrolled breeding and disease prevention amongst their street dogs. The spay and neuter clinics offered in cities like San Felipe prevent thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens from being born that would likely end up on the streets, facing a life of uncertainty.

There's a special little creek where you can see steelhead finishing their 600 mile journey from the Pacific Ocean to the headwaters they were born in. There's a mix of both wild and hatchery fish here, as well as resident rainbow trout, ready to spawn and create the next generation.

To get the underwater shot, I belly crawled in my dry suit up to the waters edge and slowly slid into the creek behind the fish, staying tight to the bank and out of their way.

Still trying to decide on a summer vacation? Alaska is calling!

We have multiple spots available for a 5 day trip on the Togiak River, which is arguably one of the best king salmon rivers in Alaska. Lodging, fishing, and food are all world class.

While regulations have changed regarding retention of king salmon, catch-and-release is allowed for kings, and anglers can still take home sockeye salmon.

Fishing for walleye on the Columbia river in the dark was an awesome experience and we had a ton of fun out there. The sun drops below the western horizon and the game is on. There's plenty of smaller ones worth eating, but we were on the hunt for big mamas. The breeding females that grow in excess of twenty five inches, and of course, even bigger.

I've waited a long time to catch my first B.C steelhead and this last summer the dream came true. We road tripped to the holy land and camped out for early season chrome. It was everything I hoped for. The rivers, the fish, and the people, treated us to an unforgettable experience.
