Observation extraordinaire hier sur le Saint-Laurent : des dauphins à nez blanc, que le public n’avait pas eu la chance d’observer ici depuis 22 ans.

Le genre de moment qui reste longtemps gravé pour un photographe animalier.

Un immense merci au formidable photographe Jocelyn Praud Praud, sans qui je n’aurais probablement pas vécu ça, ainsi qu’à Croisières Escoumins et à leur sympathique équipage : le capitaine Simon Palmer et la charmante Charlie Wentholt , biologiste marine.

Une sortie déjà exceptionnelle… devenue franchement inoubliable.

An extraordinary sighting yesterday on the St. Lawrence: white-beaked dolphins, which the public had not had the chance to see here in 22 years.

The kind of moment that stays with a wildlife photographer for a long time.

A huge thank you to the remarkable photographer Jocelyn Praud, without whom I probably would not have experienced this, and to Croisières Escoumins and their wonderful crew: Captain Simon Palmer and the charming Charlie Wentholt, marine biologist.

Tu roules sur la 132 en Gaspésie. Ton œil remarque un gros corbeau sur un magnifique perchoir… puis, rapidement, ton cerveau dit à ton pied de ralentir. Parce que le beau corbeau, finalement, c’est un faucon émerillon!

You’re driving along Route 132 in the Gaspé Peninsula. Your eye catches a big crow on a beautiful perch… then your brain quickly tells your foot to slow down. Because that big crow turns out to be a merlin!
