Not my usual content however I’ve been meaning to share this to LHP for a bit!
Two of my children have benefited from this incredible program Dolly created.
Last time I checked, there was only 205 children in the Anglophone East District benefiting from this program.
Ages 0-5 receive a monthly book from the Imagination library, so make sure to sign up!

Anglophone East School District joins people around the world in mourning the passing of Dolly Parton, whose extraordinary legacy extends far beyond music and entertainment. Through her lifelong commitment to literacy and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, she helped put millions of books into the hands and homes of children around the world.
AESD has been a proud local partner of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library since 2009. Today, thanks to the generosity of local donors and community organizations, the program is funded in 10 school catchment areas across our District.
More than 1,550 children from birth to age five in these communities currently receive a free, age-appropriate book every month, personalized with their name and delivered directly to their home. That means approximately 18,600 books each year are making their way into homes across our communities, helping families build a love of books and reading together from a child’s earliest years.
Dolly once said, “You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children.”
Her belief in the power of books, and in the potential of every child, is something we have been privileged to help carry forward in our own communities.

We extend our deepest condolences to Dolly’s family, friends, colleagues and the entire Imagination Library community. We are grateful for her vision, her generosity and the remarkable gift she has given generations of children.
Her music will be remembered around the world. In our District, we will also remember her every time a child opens a new book and discovers where it can take them.
