In July we ended up following a tornado producing storm home from Alberta all the way to Manitoba. It was quite the sight, & we did miss a couple tornadoes by just an hour or so.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words..

I usually notice the beauty in everything and capture it as often as possible. Today, with a heavy heart I capture the reality of our situation in Manitoba, Canada.

I walked through the store for the first time since these restrictions have been put in place. Christmas music is playing, everything that would usually bring joy and excitement is taped off. I walk past a woman begging a worker to sell her a laptop for her child since our schools have closed. She's almost in tears as she explains that she has no way to buy anything online, that she needs this laptop to do so.

Our reality, our home, our Christmas season during Covid - 2020. May we all get through this with strength, endurance, and compassion for our neighbors. May we find joy in the simple things, and act with kindness at every opportunity.
