Cocktail hour might just be one of our favourite parts of a wedding day to photograph.

After the formals are finished, there’s something pretty great about getting you back to your guests with enough time to actually enjoy it. Grab a drink. Make the rounds. Hug the people who travelled to celebrate with you. And forget about the camera for a while.

At Gabe’s family farm, cocktail hour was exactly that - open air, summer heat, bright skies and everyone simply enjoying being together.

These are the photographs that feel alive. People mid-laugh, deep in conversation, raising a glass, completely unaware of the camera. Nothing stuffy. Just your people, exactly as they were.

Whenever the timeline allows, we love making room for these moments - and as a bonus, they make some of the very best images for thank-you cards after the wedding. 🤍
