I believe that every season of life offers its own beauty and I strive to showcase this in each family I photograph. There's a story in the everyday; in the way we interact with our loved ones, the way that they make us laugh, the activities we love to share, the small details we never want to forget that change so fast.

The last couple years we've done an Easter brunch instead of a dinner and I'm loving it - give me breakfast for every meal, every day 😆 Also I finally found a tiny break in my courses long enough to actually do a flat lay and boy did I feel out of practice. Still not sure about this colour scheme but I had fun doing it 😊

I couldn't miss our annual hot chocolate flat lay - the girls have been bugging me about it and it makes me happy they love it as much as I do ☺️ This year I decided to do a different one for each of them (we'll see if I make it 😂) So here's 1/3 ☕

As I am wrapping up bits of my business it feels very bittersweet - excitement for a new chapter but also sadness at saying goodbye to this one. I have loved documenting families for the last 7 years - capturing moments like these where you get to pause and take in your own family and the love you've built and nurtured 🧡

Who knew that when our girls started preschool together they would become the best of friends 🥰 And I'm glad they did because I gained a wonderful mom friend too! 😆 Had so much fun with this sweet family and the fall colours hung on just long enough for them 👌🏻

After almost 7 years, Amy Violet Photography is closing as I pursue more education full time. As a result, all client galleries will be closed effective December 8th, 2023.

If you have a session in November, I will be in touch about accommodations for your specific galleries 😊

If you are a past client who has had a session more than a year ago and you need your gallery re-opened, that can be arranged for a small administrative fee. Please contact me directly at [email protected]. The administrative fee covers my time and the cost associated with hosting more galleries through the gallery-hosting software.

If you've been wanting to place a print order, ALL print orders must be received BEFORE December 8th, 2023.

If you've noticed I've been a bit quieter on here - there's been a reason. I have spent the last 6 months working hard at some pre-requisite courses to go back to school 🤓And I'm excited to say, that starting in January I am going back to school full time to do a post-degree Bachelor's of Nursing. Although it seems out of the blue, things in my life have taken so many unexpected twists and turns over the last couple years and all I can say is that I am where I am meant to be. I am very excited (and terrified!) for this new chapter! However, after long, careful, consideration I have also made the decision to close down my business for this next season. I don't have unlimited time and energy and I need to focus on school and family first.

Photography has brought me so much joy and I will never put down the camera for good - I have a deep love for creating beautiful memories and maybe one day I will take clients again but for now, this is what I need to do.

I am wrapping up the last of my client sessions in November and not taking any more clients at this time. This will also impact client galleries and I will be putting out a PSA soon to make sure your galleries are downloaded and backed up!

From the bottom of my heart, to everyone who has trusted me with their memories - THANK YOU! I am truly grateful for everything this business gave me and for the people it introduced me to 🥰
