I’m a pretty blunt person. And if you’ve ever done a wedding call with me, you’ll know that. 😂 I’m very much myself, and I’m not afraid to speak up when I think it will help.

But when it comes to your wedding, it all comes from wanting the same thing you do — for you to enjoy the hell out of your day and end up with the photos you dreamed about.

Sometimes that means stepping in. Sometimes it means backing off. Sometimes it means telling someone to move, grabbing a microphone, or reminding you that your dress getting dirty tells a story.

And the last slide is probably the most honest one — one truth about me as your photographer. 🤍

At the end of the day, I’m on your team.

I see you.

There’s a strange balance to being a wedding photographer.

I spend so much of your day trying to disappear. To be quiet. To fade into the background. To give you space to experience the moments that are yours, without turning every one of them into a production.

And sometimes I battle with myself.

When do I step in and take the lead?

And when do I stay quiet and simply let the moment happen?

Because while I’m watching your wedding through my camera, I’m feeling it too.

I see you.

I see the nerves hiding underneath the excitement. The shaky hands and deep breaths. The way your parents look at you when you aren’t looking back. The person trying desperately not to cry.

I see the way you reach for each other when the noise of the day disappears for just a second.

Being an empath can feel like both a blessing and a curse. I feel things deeply. But behind a camera, I’ve learned that maybe it’s one of my greatest strengths.

Photography is composition and lighting and camera settings. It’s knowing your equipment and constantly becoming better at your craft.

But sometimes the most important part is simply knowing when to press the button.

Knowing when a moment is coming before it happens.

Knowing when to take control — and when to disappear.

Because I don’t want to spend your wedding day creating every moment for you.

I want to notice the ones that are already happening.

Years from now, I don’t just want you to remember how beautiful your wedding looked.

I want you to remember the nerves. The laughter. The chaos. The people who loved you. The way you looked at each other.

I want you to remember how it felt.

Because while everyone else was watching the wedding—

I was watching you.

Sometimes being your photographer means asking you to take your shoes off in the middle of your engagement session because I suddenly have “a vision” 😂

But LOOK at those shoes + that ring. How was I supposed to resist?!

I couldn’t remember when I actually started photography (that wasn’t landscape), so I went digging through my old photos.

December 2021.

I was taking pictures of dogs and volunteering at shelters to do dog portraits. 😂 I was learning as I went and genuinely had no idea what any of it would turn into.

And somehow… it’s August 2026.

I looked back at those photos and had one of those wait… what?! moments.

Because this is my life now. 🥹

A husband. Two little boys. A photography business I’m ridiculously proud of. Years of weddings, families, babies, chaos, happy tears and people trusting me with some of the biggest moments of their lives.

So I think I’m overdue for a little reintroduction.

Hi, I’m Adonica. 🤍

And if you’ve ever had me photograph you, there’s a very good chance you left thinking I was either hilarious or completely insane.

There is no in between. 😂

I’m loud. I’m goofy. I’m wildly ADHD. My brain has approximately 47 tabs open at all times, and motherhood apparently decided that wasn’t enough.

I lose my train of thought halfway through sentences. I bounce from one thing to another. I get distracted easily. I laugh at myself constantly. And when I see good light or you do something that looks AMAZING, there is absolutely no hiding my excitement.

You will hear about it. 😂

But I also care so, so much.

I care about making people feel comfortable. I notice when you’re nervous. I notice the little looks between people, the hand squeezes, the laughs that happen after you think the photo is over, your kid being completely themselves.

I think my slightly chaotic brain is actually part of what makes me the photographer I am.

I notice everything.

And somewhere between taking pictures of shelter dogs in 2021 and standing here today with my little family, this thing I started for fun turned into something I genuinely love.

Almost five years later, I still feel incredibly lucky that people choose me to tell pieces of their story.

So, hi. 🤍

I’m Adonica.

Photographer. Wife. Mama of two. Slightly chaotic. Very sentimental. Probably laughing about something.

And I’m really happy you’re here.

A little sneak peek because this session unlocked some memories.

I remember sprinting through sprinklers without a second thought, eating freezies for supper, staying out until the street lights came on, and rushing home to see who was online on MSN.

Now I’m a mama of two boys who complains the hose water is too cold. 😂
