A divine celebration deserves to be remembered beautifully. 🦚✨

This Krishna-themed baby shower was filled with elegance, culture and meaningful details.

From the majestic peacocks and delicate floral arrangements to the soft colour palette and beautiful Krishna-inspired backdrop, every element worked together to create a truly magical setting.

The complete baby shower decor was thoughtfully designed by Saskatoon Party Planner.

My goal was to capture more than the overall setup.

The intricate details.

The colours and textures.

The creative styling.

And the complete transformation of the celebration space.

Because event decor takes time, creativity and careful planning.

Professional photography and videography help preserve that work while creating beautiful content for families and event businesses to share.

This Krishna Janmashtami, here is a celebration inspired by devotion, beauty and joyful new beginnings.

11 cultures.
2 unforgettable days.
One city transformed into the world.

These moments lasted only seconds.

But photographs can carry them forward for generations.

On August 14–15, 2026,
Saskatoon Folkfest invited us to tour the world at one location.

Eleven pavilions.
One amazing celebration.

Bangladesh.
China.
India.
Iran.
Latino.
Nepal.
Nigeria.
Norway.
Pakistan.
Philippines.
Vietnam.

Every stage carried a different story.

Every movement held meaning.

Every costume reflected generations of tradition.

I photographed more than performances.

I captured pride.
Connection.
Energy.
Joy.

And culture coming alive under the stage lights.

That is the power of cultural event photography.

Great event photography does not simply show what happened.

It helps you feel what it was like to be there.

For stronger festival memories:

Capture the full atmosphere.

Wait for the peak movement.

Look for emotion between the big moments.

And always photograph the people behind the culture.

Swipe slowly.

Notice the expressions, colours, details and motion.

Which pavilion or performance brought you the most joy?

Tag a performer you recognize.

Share this post with someone who loves Folkfest.

A photograph takes a second.
But the feeling behind it can last forever. 📸

Happy World Photography Day!

For me, photography has never been just about pressing the shutter.

It’s about noticing the moments that tell a story.

The energy inside a conference room.

The laughter during a wedding celebration.

The connections created through community programs.

The emotion of a live performance.

The people behind a brand.

And the little moments happening in between.

Those are the moments I love capturing.

Conference Photography documents speakers, ideas, networking and connections.

Event Photography captures meaningful moments as they naturally happen.

Nonprofit & Community Photography helps organizations document their programs, people and impact while strengthening their visual storytelling.

Wedding Photography preserves emotions, relationships and moments worth remembering.

Brand Photography creates visuals that communicate who you are and what you represent.

Performance Photography freezes movement, expression and energy that may never happen exactly the same way again.

Photography continues to teach me one important thing:

Tell the story, not just what happened.

Every person, organization, event and community has a story worth capturing.

To everyone who has trusted me with theirs — thank you.

Moments you feel. Stories that stay.

Happy World Photography Day! 📷

There’s more to Saskatchewan than endless prairie. 🌾📸

Sometimes, the best views are waiting on the road between destinations.

I captured this scene while driving toward Pike Lake, Saskatchewan, taking the Valley Road route from Saskatoon.

A tractor working quietly across a massive green field.

Prairie grasses glowing in the foreground.

Clouds stretching across that unmistakably wide Saskatchewan sky.

Nothing staged.

Nothing complicated.

Just everyday life on the Prairies.

And that's exactly why I stopped to photograph it.

As photographers, we often go searching for extraordinary locations.

But some of the strongest photographs come from noticing ordinary moments differently.

🚜 A tractor becomes the subject.

🌾 The field becomes layers.

☁️ The sky creates scale.

🍂 The foreground adds depth and seasonal colour.

Put them together, and an everyday agricultural scene becomes a story about Saskatchewan.

One photography tip I used here:

Don't always zoom in on your subject.

Give it space.

Include the environment.

Look for foreground, middle ground and background elements.

That extra context can turn a simple photograph into an environmental portrait of a place.

If you're exploring around Saskatoon, the drive toward Pike Lake Provincial Park via Valley Road can offer some beautiful rural Saskatchewan scenery.

Keep your camera ready.

Because Saskatchewan photography isn't only about finding landmarks.

Sometimes it's about documenting the landscapes, agriculture and everyday moments that make this province feel like home.
