Saskatoon, even the skeletons have plans. Do you?

A blue-lit cemetery gate. A skeleton waving from its coffin. A glowing drummer who clearly hasn’t heard that the party’s over.

This side of Pumpkins After Dark Saskatoon deserved its own carousel. From a steaming green cauldron to intricate pumpkin carvings, every stop gave my camera something different to capture.

Have you ever watched a plane and wished you were on it?

Maybe heading somewhere new. Maybe returning to someone you miss. Maybe finally taking that trip you keep putting off.

This photograph makes me think about change.

The autumn leaves are letting go, while somewhere above them, people are moving toward their next chapter. Some with excitement. Some with uncertainty. Perhaps a little of both.

We rarely know the whole story of what passes overhead. But sometimes, a glimpse is enough to remind us of our own dreams.

That’s what I love about photography. A passing plane, fall colours, and an open sky can become a story you see yourself in.

On your next walk, pause and look up. You might find something that makes you feel, remember, or imagine.
