I might catch flack for this, but it's time to think about school photos!

If I won't be at your school this year* and you're dreading the awkward photo day pictures, or if you homeschool and are looking for a professional but affordable way to document the beginning of the school year, look no further.

"Out Of School" Photos this year will be done in my mini studio space in downtown Salmon Arm. This means that you have a selection of days to choose from to work around your busy schedule, and we don't have to rely on the weather! It also means that fees are slightly reduced from last year. Pricing starts at $60 per student and includes a small collection of digital images.

The calendar is now open for the first half of October.

I get to work with some of the most wonderful people in the Shuswap.

Today was such a good day. 💗

I had my makeup done at MisMacK Clean Cosmetics this morning and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Natural, still completely me, and it lasted beautifully all day.

Then I spent the afternoon with Selina from Ihana Images for my new professional photos, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Selina was so kind and made the entire afternoon feel comfortable, easy and fun. I am incredibly grateful for the care she put into everything and for how much I genuinely enjoyed the experience.

There is something pretty special about getting to work with talented people who make you feel completely comfortable being yourself.

I’m feeling very grateful tonight and very excited to see what Selina captured. 💗

Four winners will each receive ONE midway wristband voucher. I will send you the code that needs to be scanned at the midway booth in order to receive the wristband. It can be used for any of the Salmon Arm fair days, and is valid for one day only.

Fair admission is not included.

There are no photography services involved in this giveaway, and you do not need to be a current client of mine to enter.

Some black and white love from the festival!

Why do I process some festival photos in black and white?

🔦 Poor or very low light can make the colours unappealing.
🔴 Extremely saturated colour washes on the stage can be overpowering.
‍🙋‍♀️ Sometimes the subject stands out better without the colour.
❤ The emotion becomes the focus instead of the colour.
