Last night was full of ceremony and celebration as SD83 K̓wsaltktnéws ne Secwepemcúl’ecw honoured their 2026 Indigenous Graduates.

Five schools were represented, and a full house at the Splatsin Centre showed the community support that goes into making it to this milestone. Cheers were hollered, tears were shed, and it was made very obvious that this is so much more than a certificate.

Congratulations, Graduates. Life awaits you, and I am confident that you are going to make the most of it.

On a personal note, I would like to thank the Indigenous Education department and the community for inviting and warmly welcoming me into this space. It is a privilege and an honour.

Thank you to Phaedra and Bella for being my lighting testers today! I loved having these wonderful women in the studio and am looking forward to more of this.

And an extra shout out to Bella's rugby 7's team, as they get ready to head to Provincials next week after winning their regional title!

Model Call! TODAY!!!

I have set up a new studio space downtown Salmon Arm for headshots and student photos. It is a very small space, and I need to sort out my lighting and spacing with a couple of patient models.

I am looking for a few people who are available TODAY for about 20 minutes each. The ideal model enjoys being in front of the camera, and will be patient with me while I move lights, move you, and just get things sorted out in general.

Hoping to find at least one adult, one child younger than ten, one older teen.
Open to everyone. This is an inclusive and safe space.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
This is a small space and there is not room for children to run around.

You will need to sign an image release as I may use the images to advertise bookings being open.
You will have a license for personal use of the images that I choose to edit and use.

This is a great opportunity for updated school style photos, profile photos, or headshots for brand new small business. (If you have an established business, licensing will not cover this use. Please email to inquire if you're not sure.)
