A listing doesn’t always stay exactly the same after the photos are taken, and that’s where CVD comes in.
Colin was on site back in April to photograph this beautiful property, and we created the professional images and virtual tour for the listing for our Realtor Ainslee Tracey - Real Estate Broker.
Since then, the homeowners made a change to the front of the property, replacing the edging along the driveway and creating a wider, more defined driveway.
Ainslee contacted us with the changes and supplied us with updated photos on site and sent them our way, and we were able to update the online gallery with the new images right away.
This helps keep the listing current and ensures potential buyers are seeing the most up-to-date version of the property, without any delays in what is being offered until the photographers can return to the property or having to start the entire photography process over again.
It’s just one of the little ways we support our Realtor clients beyond the initial photo session. Your listing changes, your marketing should too.

World Organ Donation Day!
Today, August 13

This is something I don't think I share often enough on my personal or business pages, but today feels like a good day to share a little piece of our family's story.

My husband, Doug, has had two kidney transplants.
His first kidney came from a deceased donor, someone who, years earlier, made the incredibly generous decision to register as an organ donor. We will never know everything about that person, but we will always be grateful that they made the choice to give others a chance at life.
Eight years ago, Doug was given another incredible gift.
His cousin Monique in the Netherlands made the selfless decision to become a living kidney donor and generously gave one of her kidneys to Doug.
Two very different donations. Two incredible gifts. And one family that has been profoundly changed by the generosity of others.

We sometimes talk about organ donation as a decision we make for someone we may never meet. But for families like ours, that decision has a name, a face, a story and a life attached to it.
Whether someone chooses to donate while they're living or makes the decision to become an organ donor after their death, that generosity can mean the difference between waiting and living, between uncertainty and hope, and between losing someone and having more time together.
So today, on World Organ Donation Day, I simply want to say thank you.

Thank you to those who have registered to be organ donors.
Thank you to living donors who make an extraordinary decision to give part of themselves to someone else.
Thank you to donor families who, in the midst of unimaginable loss, choose to give the gift of life to others.
And thank you to the healthcare professionals who make these second chances possible.
Our family has experienced the incredible impact of organ donation firsthand. We are forever grateful to the people who made these choices, and to the people who continue to say YES!

Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference.
No, we're not selling our home... but today we finally replaced the old ceiling fan in our kitchen after it started giving us trouble, and let's be honest, it was a bit dated.
For just $109, the entire room feels brighter, more modern, and updated. We haven't painted, renovated, or changed anything else, just the ceiling fan.
As someone who photographs homes for a living, I see firsthand how small updates can completely change the way a space looks in photos. When Realtors suggest simple improvements before listing, it's not about spending a fortune. It's about helping buyers see the home's full potential.

See the potential.
Sometimes it's hard for buyers to picture what an empty room could become. That's where virtual staging can make all the difference.
We recently had the opportunity to experiment with some new virtual staging software on a listing Colin captured for one of our amazing London and St. Thomas Association of REALTORS(r), Lestari Rupert-Royal LePage Triland Realty (thanks for letting us play and practice!).
This basement is probably familiar to many of us, wood paneling, dated floors, missing ceiling tiles... a space that has great bones but doesn't immediately inspire buyers.
With a little virtual staging, we transformed it into a stylish industrial-inspired bedroom, showing that you don't need a complete renovation to imagine the possibilities. Whether it's a teenager's retreat, guest room, or cozy hangout space, sometimes all it takes is a little vision.
Our goal isn't to mislead buyers at all, it's to help them see the potential. Virtual staging helps expand the minds of potential buyers when they're looking at vacant real estate photos, allowing them to envision what a home could become.
