of the is the perfect example of the Photographer Child Syndrome.
The sun was out, the light was gorgeous, and I wanted to capture how Freya is always waiting for me at preschool at the fence, ready to grab her backpack and run home. But of course the second she saw the camera she hid.
Regardless, I love this picture because she is so adorably excited to get picked up and this still reminds me of that.

I'm so over this pandemic. Anyone else?
I have been closed most of the year between the lockdowns and our own family's bad 2020 luck.
So, in the hopes of having fun with my camera I've joined the . The goal being to take a picture everyday to document our lives. So far I'm enjoying it but I already know I'll miss some days 😂

And it felt so good to start with a messy Cake Smash!
I always love it when babies come back and I get to see them grow! This little dude came in for some fun pictures just before things got crazy and now he's 1 and walking and just as adorable. Turns out he likes me even better with a mask on!

Do you remember what you thought motherhood would be like before you became a mom? What fears and preconceived ideas did you have? What about the things you were not going to do, and the things you thought for sure you would (Hello screen time and Happy meals, talking to you!)?

I remember a big thing for me was not really understanding unconditional love and being afraid I wouldn't feel that. Seems silly now for sure.

She's deep into the terrible twos.

She drives me nuts most of the time, especially with this quarantine mess. She's stubborn and wild and only seems communicates through whining.

But she made me a mom. And I love her more than I ever thought I could love anyone. She's smart and independent. And goofy, and fearless.
She's our little sunshine.

Even though she HATES me taking pictures of her.

The next few weeks are going to go by so slowly.
I can't wait to go home and be reunited with my husband.
I can't wait to get some sweet tiny babies in the studio.
But, I'm so lucky that the kids and I get to be quarantined in such a gorgeous place, and with the best in-laws ♥

This week-end was supposed to be my Easter minis.
As much as I wish I was throwing eggs around with your little ones, I have no regrets about cancelling everything in light of the situation.

This situation is tough on everyone, including small businesses. Some won't make it through this.
So I'd love to dare you all to take 5 minutes to show some love for your favorite local businesses!
