World Environment Day
This photo was taken during a hike at Kluane National Park and Reserve. The foot of the Kaskawulsh Glacier is visible in the distance. This is an absolute gem.
With climate change, glacier recession is observed, riverbed dried up and dust storms are formed. I read an article few days ago of a study done in this area: these storms are significantly enriched by metal particules and metalloids that are harmful for human health. People living in these beautiful remote areas will need now to protect themselves wearing masks or not going out at certain time of the day and year to avoid inhaling these particules.
