Happy World Photography Day! Celebrating in black and white, as seen through my camera.

Always grateful for the places and experiences that photography has brought me to over the years.

Spatsizi Magic

The northern lights put on a special send off last night, to close out just over a week spent at Spatsizi Lodge here in Northern BC. Grateful for the time I got to spend here seeing the lakes and mountains that make up the Spatsizi Plateau Wilderness Provincial Park, join in on fishing for Rainbow Trout in pristine waters, and getting to capture this incredibly remote part of the province.

Thank you to all of the staff at Spatsizi for their world class hospitality! Can’t wait to share more from my time here.

A rainbow cresting over the trees in Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park, captured in July.

We sat through a few hours of heavy rain, and ground shaking thunder before this appeared.

Just returning from a trip into the Canadian Rockies for our annual backcountry photographers trip!

This summers destination was the turquoise blue waters of Michele Lakes, and the surrounding ridges and wildflower slopes. It’s been a busy summer of adventures and I can’t wait to share more!

Idaho Peak in Bloom

The first light of day on the Valhallas, and wildflowers blooming on the grassy slopes of Idaho Peak.

It was special to be back up here, high above the Slocan Valley. With the access road still washed out and undriveable since 2019, it takes a bit of effort to reach these views now. Captured last week, after a long pedal up.

An alpine night in Valhalla Provincial Park, beneath the striking walls of Gimli Peak.

It's been a great start to the summer season here in the Kootenays. As always, I'm trying to fit in as many hiking adventures as I can!
Thanks to my friend Fiona for providing scale in this image.

An underwater perspective of Slocan Lake, British Columbia.

It was great to get out with my underwater housing during the Spring this year! There’s so many great locations to visit and explore under the surface.

Gimli Peak emerging from swirling clouds, in Valhalla Provincial Park.
I’ve photographed Gimli from the ground and the sky (via plane) and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of capturing this striking face of rock.
