Gimli Peak emerging from swirling clouds, in Valhalla Provincial Park.
I’ve photographed Gimli from the ground and the sky (via plane) and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of capturing this striking face of rock.

I usually photograph this show from up high, but this year I tried for something new with the blooming lupins.

New work for ABUS/Good Fortune Collective for the Targon helmet, shot in the Selkirk Mountains of BC with athlete Kirsten VanHorne.

I have some great memories of shooting mountain biking with Kirsten at the start of my photography career, and it felt like a full circle moment to land on this commercial project together last fall, in mountains close to home.

I came across this interesting juxtaposition while going through some older photos in my archive.
Same spot, three years apart.

The first image was taken in 2021, and the second was during 2024 of the Lavina Complex of wildfires. It’s wild how things can line up sometimes months and years later.

The show was strong enough to reach overhead last night, opening up new angles towards the South. I’ve been eyeing this composition for a while, and it was great to finally catch it with aurora overhead!
