Some sessions will stay with you a little longer than others. 🤎

This one was especially close to my heart.

There is something so special about the bond between a mother and daughter. The laughter, the cuddles, the little in-between moments, and the way a little girl looks at her mom as though she hung the moon.

Motherhood is such a beautiful, complicated, and deeply meaningful part of life. It’s something I think about often, and something I hold a particular tenderness for.

Sometimes we’re so busy living our everyday lives that we don’t realize just how much these little moments will mean to us someday. The ordinary days, the familiar routines, the way little hands reach for yours. One day, those are the things we’ll wish we could step back into for just a moment.

I’m so grateful I got to preserve these moments for these two. I have a feeling these photographs will only become more precious with time, and they’ll be able to look back on them with happiness. 🧡

45 years. 🤍
September 26, 1981

On September 26, my parents will celebrate 45 years of marriage. As I stood behind my camera, watching them together on the beach at sunset, I found myself thinking about how quickly time passes.

When you’re younger, I don’t think you fully understand or appreciate your parents. You know they’re there. You know they love you. You know they’ll show up for you. But you don’t necessarily understand just how much that means.

Growing older—and especially working as a nurse—has given me a different perspective on life, relationships, and just how incredibly short our time here can be. I’ve seen how quickly circumstances can change, and how the people we love are truly what matters most.

My parents have always been there for me and my two older brothers. They have supported us, encouraged us, and been incredibly generous with us in more ways than I could ever put into words. They are the kind of parents who have always made sure their kids knew they were loved and never had to wonder if they had someone in their corner.

As I get older, I appreciate that more and more.

There’s something really special about getting to watch your parents grow older together. The years, the memories, the changes, the life they’ve built—and somehow, after 45 years, they’re still standing beside each other.

I think as the years pass, the value of our parents becomes clearer. We begin to understand that we don’t get forever with the people we love, and that the ordinary moments we once took for granted are actually some of the most precious ones.

I’m so grateful and truly honoured that I got to be the one to give my parents a little piece of what they’ve given me my entire life: memories to hold onto.

Happy 45th anniversary, Mom and Dad. I love you both more than you know. 🥲🥰

Some families just make it easy.🤍

They were playful, relaxed, and completely willing to embrace whatever I threw their way — and that made their love for each other so easy to capture.

And I think that’s what makes a family session so special: when everyone can relax, have fun, and just be together, the beautiful photos naturally and genuinely follow. ✨

So grateful I got to spend an evening with this crew and capture a little piece of their family story at this moment in time. 🥹🥰

Three years ago, photography was just a hobby.

I never really planned for it to become a business, let alone a second career. I’ve been a registered nurse for 15 years, and photography started as something I did simply because I loved it.

Somehow, that little hobby has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of — and this has been my busiest year yet.

I guess it’s safe to say it isn’t “just a hobby” anymore.
And that’s… kinda chic. ✨😉
