Three years ago, photography was just a hobby.

I never really planned for it to become a business, let alone a second career. I’ve been a registered nurse for 15 years, and photography started as something I did simply because I loved it.

Somehow, that little hobby has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of β€” and this has been my busiest year yet.

I guess it’s safe to say it isn’t β€œjust a hobby” anymore.

A little throwback to where it all began β€” 2023. 🀍

This was the very first photo shoot I ever did with my camera.

I offered a few free mini sessions for families, and this family became my very first clients. I was just starting out. I had no idea then where picking up that camera would lead me. I just knew I loved taking photos and capturing precious moments.

And this photo?

I’ve always loved it.

In fact, years later, it’s still one of the images I find myself coming back to and using to showcase my work.

So much has changed since this session. My camera, my editing, my posing, my experience, and the way I approach a session have all evolved.

But I still look at this image and remember that feeling of being at the very beginning of something I had no idea would become such a big part of my life.

Just a little reminder of where it all started. ✨πŸ₯°

Every wedding tells a different story…and it deserves to.

βœ”οΈ A gorgeous black floral wedding dress.
βœ”οΈ Moody skies that completely changed my usual editing vibe.
βœ”οΈ 7 million mosquitoes/the largest mosquito population in New Brunswick that apparently also RSVP’d. πŸ¦ŸπŸ˜‚

Proof that beautiful moments don’t have to fit into one style.

Different? Absolutely.
Beautiful? I think so too.πŸ₯°

A little something different for me 🀍
If you’ve followed my work for any length of time, you know I’m usually all about the lifestyle moments β€” but when friends ask you to photograph their sweet new babe in this way, sometimes you step outside your comfort zone πŸ₯Ή
My first time dipping my toes into posed newborn photography, but still mixed with a bit of the lifestyle storytelling I love so much!

The newborn days are such a blur β€” the tiny hands, sleepy stretches, and all those quiet in-between moments. It’s the sweetest new chapter, and I’m so grateful I got to capture it for them.
