Last Saturday reminded me that the photography community is full of incredibly kind people.
The weather had other plans for us. Heavy rain forced my outdoor session inside a building, where it seemed every photographer in city had the same idea. Rain had brought us all together under one roof.
After a long day of shooting, I was almost finished with my session when disaster struck, my camera battery died. As usual, I reached into my backpack for a spare... only to realize I'd left all of my extra batteries in another bag after a shoot the day before. That moment honestly felt like a lightning bolt hit me.
I walked around asking other photographers if anyone happened to have a spare battery. Unfortunately, most were shooting Nikon, one photographer was using Sony, and I shoot Canon.
Then I met Lindsey.
She was completely focused on photographing some adorable kids in their graduation outfits. I walked over and asked if she happened to have a Canon battery. Without a second of hesitation, Lindsey smiled and handed me one.
That battery saved my session.
I was able to return to my clients, finish capturing those final moments, and then come back to return it.
