When your mama was an 80’s kid, and she brings a *small* selection of her cherished cabbage patch collection to the studio. 😉

I absolutely LOVED this idea and was so honoured to bring it to life - especially because this dimpled darling is my cousin, and a long-awaited miracle to her mommy and daddy. What a precious gift she is!!

All the dolls are wearing Baby’s outgrown clothes, reminding us just how brief a time our littles stay small. 💕

“Motherland”

Resharing one of my favourite portraits from last year: beautiful Shayla cradling her rainbow baby, bringing so much warmth to the frosty prairie landscape. This was Shayla’s mom’s ribbon skirt, and it worked so well to symbolically illustrate a story I hoped to tell: it sewed a connection to her mother, and to her mother, and to her mother, and to her mother, and so on… generations nurtured by this prairie land for thousands of years.

I am humbled to share this home, and grateful to borrow its beauty. ♥️
