My love for wildlife began long before I ever picked up a camera. Growing up, I spent countless hours watching birds and observing the incredible world of nature around me. I was fascinated by their beauty, their behavior, and the quiet moments that most people might overlook.

For me, wildlife photography isn’t simply about taking a photograph. It’s about connecting with nature, observing the world around me, learning, and appreciating the incredible lives that share this world with us. Every time I am outdoors with my camera, I feel that same sense of wonder I had as a child watching birds.

A beautiful story of survival, resilience, and new life. Two years after surviving the devastating Jasper wildfire, Grizzly Bear 222 is now thriving with two healthy cubs by her side. Seeing this incredible mother and her little ones is a powerful reminder that even after destruction, life finds a way to carry on. What a privilege to witness such a special moment in the wild heart of Jasper National Park. 🌲🏔️💜

I can’t get enough of these burrowing owl chicks! They’ve just started learning how to hunt, and now they’re chasing after anything that moves. I even saw one go after a gopher that was twice its size! Watching them run down the road after tiny bugs is absolutely hilarious, they’re so determined and full of personality.

It has been wonderful to watch these little burrowing owls grow from tiny fluff balls into young adults, learning to hunt on their own. Losing their youngest sibling, who was my favourite, was heartbreaking.

But seeing the others become independent—hunting, playing, and exploring around the burrow has brought me so much joy. I hope they all make their first migration south safely and return next spring.
