It is with a heavy heart, that due to the tragic and untimely passing of Andrea. Northern Accents Photography will be closing permanently.

This has been a huge shock for all Andrea's Family and friends and especially her husband and 3 young boys.

Her husband Bill will be ensuring that any outstanding work is either delivered to, or refunded to the customers.( depending on Bills ability to produce the required prints) It is his wish to completely fulfill any outstanding work, as he knows that Andrea prided herself on amazing customer service and would strive for this herself.

Also if you have had pictures taken by Andrea in the past and have been waiting to get more prints from your previous session, I would advise that you also contact Bill to make arrangements as this service will not be available in the future.

Over the weekend the Professional Photographers of Canada held their annual conference and awards banquet in Montreal. Unfortunately I was not able to attend but I received the news yesterday that one of my images that received a merit in the National Salon had been chosen for a judges choice award! Over 750 images were entered into the competition this year and I feel extremely honoured that out of those a judge chose a moose loose on the road their favorite.

❗❗ Northern Accents is undergoing a few business changes this month. ❗❗

After 9 years of running this business full time I'm sad to be partially closing the doors but I'm excited to be moving forward with the new chapter in my life. I have taken a new full-time job and photography is going to become part-time only. I will no longer be offering birth photography, and newborn sessions will only be offered on weekends and must be booked in advance. I will still be doing family sessions in the evenings and weekends during the nicer weather but sessions will be limited. Please bare with me as I reply back to messages right now, I have worked at home for so long this is a very big change for myself and my family and we are all learning to adjust.

I received some fantastic news today! After many years of hard work and dedication to photography I earned my designation of Craftsman of Photographic Arts ( C.P.A.) from the Professional Photographers of Canada.

It has taken a lot of work and I have learned so much along the way, the PPOC has made me a better photographer in many ways and has allowed me to learn and grow from the best in the countries industry. Never stop learning, never stop believing in yourself!

Over the weekend the Professional Photographers of Canada held their National Image Salon competition which happens once a year. The final images in this salon show the best of the best images across Canada in one show. It is extremely challenging and something I look forward to every year as it makes me challenge myself and learn. Entering salon earns me points towards a designation such as a Craftsman of Photographic Arts (CPA) I have been entering every year for awhile now to try and achieve this and this year 2 of my images made it into the National Salon and one received a Merit!
