It’s the Mid-Autumn moon festival in Barkerville, BC today!!
Festivities run until late, with the lantern parade happening at 9:15…don’t miss it!

Side story: this has always been my favourite programming in Barkerville …from building a 2ft by 2ft star lantern one year, to my dad and I traveling to Victoria another to find new lantern inspiration, then carrying a giant block of ice with a candle in the middle through the streets - so many wonderful memories are wrapped up in this day for me, and if I could give you one piece of advice it would be; bring your kids out…it could be your new favourite family event as well 🤍🐲🧮🏮

With all the heartbreak in our local region, so many of our tourism operators are either displaced, or unable to get their clients to their lodges - please go and give 3 of my favourite past clients a follow tutti gravel inn Tyax Lodge & Chalets & Fort Berens

Follow them, buy gift cards or merch, book with them for the fall or next season - but let’s all rally around the Cariboo chilcotin region’s tourism providers right now, in any way we can 🤍

I was so grateful to be invited back this year to be a part of the Osisko/Lhtako salmon release.

It’s been so incredible to have the continued support of some of my favourite clients, even after taking almost all of last year off.

Looking forward to being the photographer for the Lhtako Dene Nation’s Pow-wow - Make sure you come out and join the festivities July 31st - August 2nd 😃
