Least bittern / petit blongios (Ixobrychus exilis)

Great egret (Ardea alba) It was a great surprise to witness 4 egrets flying and fishing. Even more lucky that it was a cloudy day that let me get usable shots of this difficult to get right white bird…

Wood duck in the best light and with the added colors of automn leafs. Going back on old pictures and realizing so many shots not edited. Also my taste has changed a lot in editing;-)

Black-throated green warbler / Paruline à gorge noire (Setophaga virens)

More puffins :-) Already hoping for my next visit to this exceptional location…

Ruby-throated hummingbird / Colibri à gorge rubis (Archilochus colubris)

Common raven / Grand Corbeau (Corvus corax)

Raven parents are raising these 3 misfits on the island with all those marine birds breeding. They seem to be very strategic and hunt as a family. Very entertaining to observe them. The young ravens were not afraid and let me get near as they were playing in the early morning even if parent were telling them to go :-)

Atlantic puffin / Macareux moine (Fratercula arctica).

I had the best experience staying one night on the island with the birds allowing me to capture the high tide bird activity with the diminishing light. Food and accommodations were outstanding, highly recommended!
