My Story

For years I’ve been known by many in Prince Rupert simply as “Eric’s Mom”.

But SURPRISE!..my name is Carol Ann...and my name is my business!

Originally from Ontario, I've lived in B.C. since 1989 and in Prince Rupert B.C. since 1994. I came here to the City of Rainbows to stay for maybe a year or two and here I am...still loving it and pretty sure I could never leave it!

I've been a photography enthusiast for many years. Starting off in 6th Grade with the "Darkroom Club" my interest in photography stayed with me throughout the years. I've experimented with various styles and genres of photography but I have finally found my niche in newborn photography.

Newborn photography is such a creative and challenging and special genre of portrait photography. Every newborn is different and brings his or her own little personality into the session. Every session comes with different challenges to my photography skills as well as my baby-whispering skills! I love holding and cuddling newborn babies and capturing that tiny window in time when babies are changing and developing so quickly. I get to capture those memories that families will cherish forever.

I have taken several courses and workshops in photography and in particular newborn photography. Being a newborn photographer carries with it a responsibility to understand the care and safety of a newborn baby. I am well-versed in newborn safety for posing and handling your baby.
