These sessions are always some of my favourites; quiet moments with your babies exactly as they are in this season.

This year we’ll be gathering inside the beautiful greenhouse at , a locally loved family-run greenhouse just outside Portage la Prairie. Surrounded by lush greenery and soft natural light, it’s the perfect setting to celebrate motherhood.

Whether you’re expecting, holding a toddler on your hip, or gathering generations together, these sessions are meant to capture the connection between you and the people who made you a mother.

Last wedding season I brought my film camera to each wedding to use for fun and for practice.

I learned a ton - like there’s nothing quite like the feel of film and that you really cannot rush it. Some shots were hits, some were missed focus, some were accidental double exposures (fun!), all had charm to them.

Plot twist: I brought the film camera… and then passed it off

I handed it over to Jayson and he snapped a couple frames of Mia during their couple session.

Just little old me coming back to the grid with these two beauties at the beach. The beach - what a distant memory in these negative-can’t-feel-my-toes temps. *sigh

Anyways. Spring will be here eventually and in the meantime I’m finding glimmers in each day. Today I’m grateful for: command start, the sunshine coming through our dining room that makes little rainbows all over the place, annnnnd these little wasabi flavoured peas that have become my new favourite car snack.

I turned our catch-all room into a studio.
Which obviously means I moved everything into… every other room. (IYKYK)

But LOOK. It’s pretty AND functional! (Just don’t open the garage).

Transforming this little space was therapeutic. Thank you to everyone who joined me for my first set of minis in this space!

Jennifer + Scott

The lake has always been part of their story - and it all started on a canoe where their friendship turned into something more.

When I asked Jennifer how they liked to spend their time together, the lake took front stage. It also happens to be where Scott proposed - solidifying its significance to them.

We brought a canoe to their engagement session as a way to capture who they are and bring everything full circle for them.

Some windows hold more than just a view.

To our family, “The Farm” is more than a place - it’s home. Home to the 9 children raised within its walls, to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren who spent countless weekends running barefoot through the grass, helping in the garden, piling onto tractor rides, and (of course) to the two people who started it all: William (Bill) and Bernice.

The memories created here are endless, and this window has seen them all. From Grandma cooking while watching the yard, to conversations drifting through the open glass. To views of snowmen being built, fireworks during celebrations, and lilacs in bloom in the spring.

Bill and Bernice were married for 69 years; a love built on faith, family, and the quiet beauty of everyday moments. Their legacy lives on in this place, in the memories woven into its walls, and in the love stories that follow.

Celina wanted her engagement photos here because it’s part of the story that built her.

Now, through the same glass that once held generations of memories, it frames a new beginning.

More photos to come - but for now, this one says it all. What an honour it was to capture my cousin and her love in a place that means so much to both of us.

Alyssa + Jeff

Late June I met Alyssa + Jeff at for their engagement session. It was before all of their beautiful summer blooms had came in - but, did you know their location is so much more than flowers? It’s right on the river and they have a magical forest of ferns too (swoon). Alyssa is also a photographer and that camera is hers 🤍

I had the hardest time picking photos to share and could have easily added another 100 photos in here, but here’s a sampling from the evening we spent together!

Leah + Devon 9.20.2025

Every chapter of Devon + Leah’s love story has fallen on the same day - September 20th. Girlfriend. Fiancé. And (as of yesterday), husband + wife.

It was an overcast, but gorgeous September day. Except - wouldn’t you know it - the last 10 minutes of light of the day, the sun peaked out and gave us an incredible sunset.

Swipe through the photos to see Leah and Devon stealing a dip kiss after their first dance. The song they chose? The same one Leah’s parents danced to at their wedding (George Straight - Cross My Heart). Look closely at the photo, those are her parents in the foreground I took the shot between. 🤍

Congratulations again, Leah + Devon!
