“When the Windows Start to Whisper”
The house stands half‑swallowed by the trees, as if the forest has been trying for years to erase it. Its windows, long shattered, stare outward like tired eyes that have seen too much and spoken too little. Every branch seems to lean in, listening, waiting, guarding whatever still lingers inside. The air around it feels heavier, as though the silence has a pulse of its own — a quiet, patient dread that settles into your bones the longer you look.

The Beer store in Thorold glowing in the dark emptiness.
I have wanted to try some Liminal Photography for a while.
I thought it would be easy to find a subject. That task proved to be very difficult. While out with an old friend a few weeks back I drove by and had to turn around and capture this moment.

Growing older makes you truly appreciate the moments that instantly make you feel 30years younger.
Back around 2009, my kids introduced me to Alexisonfire. Since then we’ve seen them at least 6 times, I still get the exact same rush—absolute goosebumps from the first chord to the last. A few years ago, standing in the crowd, I looked over and joked that I was easily the oldest guy there. They just smiled and told me, "Dad, you’re not, BUT one day you will be, because when the day comes and@ you say you’re done and don’t want to go, we are taking you anyway"
I figured I’d give them an out, telling them that if they ever wanted to go with friends instead of me, I'd completely understand. Without missing a beat, they said, "No way."
Some things never get old.
