💜Meet Ash💜

If you’ve been following along, you’ve probably noticed this face appears here a lot—and for good reason.

Ash came into my life as an 11-week-old rescue puppy and quickly became the inspiration behind so much of what I do. Long before Furry Focus Pet Photography existed, she was the dog patiently sitting through my practice sessions, helping me learn my camera, and posing for every new idea I wanted to try.

She’s been my muse from the very beginning, although “professional model” might be a bit of a stretch. Some days she’s perfect, and other days she’s convinced the photoshoot should be spent chasing squirrels instead.

This girl is the reason I fell in love with capturing the personalities, quirks, and beauty of animals. Every photo I take today started with her.

Ash may have been my rescue, but she ended up giving me so much more than I could ever give her. She’ll always be my favorite model, my adventure partner, and the heart behind this business 🫶🏻

🤎Double the doodles, double the trouble🤎

I posted Finnigan yesterday, but Hudson was feeling a little left out🐾

So here’s the big brother’s turn in the spotlight and a few photos of the boys together.

Finnigan spent most of the session sticking his nose in Hudson’s mouth and cleaning the drool off his lips, while Hudson patiently questioned all of his life choices. 😂

Meet Finnigan 🤎🐾

I’m so excited to introduce the newest member of the family (even if he technically lives with my parents 😂).

This little Bernedoodle is all fluff, big paws, and bad decisions. He’s got a huge personality, endless energy, and somehow always manages to be exactly where he shouldn’t be.

I couldn’t resist taking a few photos of him, and I have a feeling he’ll be popping up on my page quite a bit as he grows up. Honestly, with a face like that, I don’t think I have much of a choice. 🐾🤍

Balcony Visitor 🫎

Okay… “balcony visitor” might be a stretch—she was definitely keeping her distance 😅 but thank goodness for a zoom lens 📸

I spotted her, ran for my camera, and managed to catch this wild girl before she wandered off again (ticks and all… the reality of truly outdoor pets 🫣)

Proof that I really do photograph all pets—even the ones living their best life far, far away 🐾✨

🧡Stewie🧡

Meet the newest addition to Furry Focus Photography… Stewie! 🐾

Some cats are adopted… and some just decide they live with you now 🐱 Stewie showed up one day and made it very clear he wasn’t going anywhere and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way 💛

Caty Perry and Kitty are still running the show (of course) but Stewie has already found his place in the crew and behind the scenes 🌿

And yes… for anyone wondering, cats are always welcome here 🐾 I photograph all animals, and Stewie is just the latest reminder that every pet deserves their moment in front of the camera 📸🌷

Safe to say… the family just got a little furrier 🐈💐

🩷The Dog of Furry Focus🩷

Ash is the reason this all started… and also the reason my camera roll is slightly full of dog photos 🫠📸

I’ve always loved taking pictures, especially of her, and she’s been the best little model (with the help of a little cheese bribery 🧀🐾).

Furry Focus didn’t just come from loving photography, it came from realizing how special it is to capture moments like these. Watching pets grow and change so fast makes you appreciate having those memories to look back on.

Getting to do that for other people now is honestly the best part 🤍 Whether it’s goofy moments, sweet expressions, or just your pet being them, those are the memories that matter most.

Still forever grateful for my girl for getting me started… but so excited to capture your pets too 🐶📸💗

🏹🎯 Hunt Alberta Expo 2026 🎯🏹

Daughter of the boss, so of course I had to show up with my camera and capture it all 📸

Huge shoutout to my parents, Jim, Oscar, and everyone else behind the scenes for putting together such an awesome event. You guys absolutely crushed it, everything ran so smoothly and the energy all weekend was unreal. It takes a lot to pull something like that off, and it definitely didn’t go unnoticed.

I’m so proud to see The Archery Box Inc. out there doing its thing alongside so many incredible vendors. It was so cool getting to meet people, chat with everyone, and just be part of such a great community. Seriously, every booth brought something unique and made the whole experience even better.

And let’s be honest… the real MVP of the weekend? The sausages. No competition 🌭

Such a fun, busy, and memorable weekend all around. Already counting down to next year 🙌

✨Chaos with Cousins✨

So here we have Uncle Hermes and Grandma Jade (aka Ash’s foster fam 🤍), plus three dog cousins who definitely did not get the memo about “sitting nicely” 😂
Five dogs, all on completely different vibes, all convinced they were the main character. There were zoomies, side-eyes, snack negotiations, and about a million good moments in between. Not just one group pic, a whole bunch of fun, goofy, cute shots that actually show who they are.
