Born and raised near Pincher Creek, Alberta, photography has always been a passion of mine. I have dreamed of capturing beautiful images of others since I was a little girl. The one constant in my life has been photography. Since I was young I always had a camera in my hand. I remember being in third grade visiting my mom’s best friend in Nova Scotia with my disposable camera strapped to me. From
then on I was always talking my parents into getting me a new camera, and my passion just grew from there. Growing up at rodeos I always admired the photographers at rodeos my family and I were entered in. This is what gave me the itch to become a western photographer. So when I got my first DSLR camera for Christmas in 2009, I was finally able to give it a try at local team ropings and around the ranch at our family branding or moving cows. Skip ahead a few years, I then apprenticed under a local photographer for a short amount of time, where I was taught tips on styled shoots and editing. Then to continue my photography education I did some lessons from Barrel and Peak Coaching, really focusing on camera settings and editing. Most recently, I attended the Alberta Wanders Workshop in Cochrane. There I worked with and learned from some of my photography mentors - posing, indoor shoots and client experience were just some of the many topics they covered. I am always learning how to better my skills as a photographer, plus upgrading my gear and software to bring you quality images to cherish. If I am not behind the camera or my laptop editing photos, you can find me at our local eye clinic. I am a certified Optometric Assistant and assistant manager at our location. So if every time you see me I have a different pair of glasses on… This is why! When I am not working - I enjoy playing with R***r, my dog, helping on my families or my boyfriends families cattle ranch, and snuggling my niece & nephews. I am on the Pincher Creek Women in Business Committee, as well as the Pincher Creek Ranch Rodeo Board and enjoy the time I spend on those.
