I am strong yes to doing a first look for so many reasons and let me tell you why.

There is nothing better than more time with your partner. When doing a first look you get experience the first of many special moments of your day privately together without being “on” for your guests. I truly believe that every moment you can steal together is worth having in your timeline.

But Care it will ruin the ceremony if we see each other before… Honestly it doesn’t. I find partners are actually more emotional at the ceremony after doing a first look than not. The moment that you say “I do” and commit to each other is another moment altogether and tear and emotions are had at both.

Prioritizing a first look at your wedding also means that you can accommodate family and wedding party photos prior to the ceremony so that after the ceremony you can be present with your guests, enjoy the food that you paid for and get more in the moment photos, some of which you aren’t even aware of.

Shawn & Tyler’s wedding ruined me for all others. The sweetest couple, fun loving guests, great music from Catherine Noelle, Sean Jamieson as well as Shawn Hurd, amazing food from the team at Rolling Grape Vineyard & Winery (thank you Kevin and your team, amazing 🍷 and to top it off the guests all wore blue as the “something blue” for the couple. Oh and perfect weather. The evening was truly perfection.

I absolutely love a good party at Rolling Grape Vineyard | Event/Wedding Venue. It’s always a big decision whether to invite children to a wedding or not. Kaylan and Adam, thank you. Thank you for not only trusting me with your wedding photos but also for allowing me the opportunity to photograph your sweet twins at the hospital after they were born. Freya and Archer were the first photos I took that weren’t of my own family when I was starting out as a photographer and it means the world to me that you trusted me then and now to document your story.

Ciya Thomas & Tyler Dooley thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me to photograph your intimate wedding.

Your day was perfection, from your church ceremony to the reception at The Mill Restaurant, Pub & Golf Course. The love, laughter and enchanting atmosphere was everything one could ask for on their wedding day.
