For years, I've taken photos of your pets. Sometimes those photos mean "Good Bye" will be soon.

Last year, I said my own "Good Bye" to Sampson. It's been a strange adjustment, to say the least.

"Good Bye" has reinforced my "Why". I do this because I love my pets, and you do, too.

This photo is a May memory from 2024 when the Lilacs were in bloom. I can remember the warm sun, the sweet smell of lilacs, but more importantly, enjoying that moment with Sampson.

Today I have the honour of presenting to the 2nd year photography students at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design!

It’s been a whole decade since I was sitting in their seats, eager and excited to learn! Now the tables have turned and I’m the one sharing my professional experience. So it’s a real delight to have been asked back for a 3rd time to share my passion with them.

And literally I just get to yap about dogs and cats? Amazing!

Today is Sampson's Birthday! 🥳 He is fully in his ✨Grandpa Era✨

I'm so happy to have seen your sweet face become increasingly sugary over the years. You've filled my heart with laughs, love and plenty of farts for a whole 14 years!

I didn't know if we'd make it to this milestone together buddy. 14 years is a big age for a big dog. 🥹

Our days aren't like they used to be. You're no longer the wild, rambumtious and reactive puppy who took hours and hours of activity and stimulation. But today, I spent the day letting you do your favourite things.

We had a car ride, a nice chew in the afternoon, a special supper with the beloved canned food and we ended the day with a little trip to the beach and you got to do plenty of sniffing and peeing on things. We sat and enjoyed looking out over the lake until the light began to fade.

Here's to you, Sammy Ham - 14 years sure is a feat!
