Thinking back on this beautiful day and how despite a scary family emergency that morning, wedding photographers have to show up with nothing but a positive attitude, ready to tackle whatever comes your way (weather, family drama, lighting limitations) because making sure it's perfect for the couple and their families is a pressure of the job.
Now that I've been dealing with flooding since Canada Day (Thanks 118mm of flash floods) and navigating the emotional and time sucking demands of that heading back into the craziest part of wedding season, I just wanted to say thank you for the grace.
Most people have been very understanding if there is a delay in response or event photos aren't going out as quickly.
There were several days where I lost power mid work day and navigating insurance (while they're amazing) I feel like a fish out of water - no pun intended.
Today we're seeing tornado warnings so please stay alert, stay safe if you're outside this evening and check on your friends and neighbours because that support has meant everything.
