There’s something really special about being seen… really seen.

A huge thank you to The Art of Storytelling for spending time with us at the food bank and capturing what a day in the life truly looks like.

From the heart of our community kitchen, to conversations about the programs that support local families, to the magic that happens behind the scenes-our incredible volunteers sorting, stocking, breaking down donations, and filling shelves with care and dignity… you brought it all to life in such a meaningful way.

Because of that, you get a window into what’s really happening here. You get to see the impact. You get to feel the heart of this work. And most importantly, you get to be part of it.

April is Monthly Giving Awareness Month, and this is your moment to step in and make a lasting difference. A monthly gift, no matter the size, helps our shelves stay stocked, our programs continue to grow, and our neighbours have access to the food and support they need, every single day.

If you’ve ever wondered how you can help… this is it 💛

Join us. Stand with your community. Be part of something that truly matters.

Sneak peak behind one day in Ottawa filming for . Often diagnosed at an advanced stage, ALK-positive lung cancer is a rare form of lung cancer that we knew nothing about a few months ago. We had the opportunity to film two stories last week for ALK Positive Canada, with a quick trip to Montreal and Ottawa.

As a new member of the Greater KW Chamber of Commerce we attended our first event, the Business Expo yesterday. We met up with Lisa McDonald from the Chamber who has been instrumental in onboarding us, as well as running into Martina Rowley . It was fantastic to meet some interesting businesses and organisations, and have a taste from many food services. Looking forward to more events and building more connections in the KW area.

Here is the a look at a Day in the Life of the Orangeville Food Bank. We are happy to donate in-kind to this organization that does so much for the community. The best donation you can make is cash, as the food bank needs cash for operational expenses and for purchasing the most needed items.

Behind the scenes from our Montreal trip for . Healthcare stories are not always filmed in a hospital. Sometimes the most important ones happen at home, in the form of patient experience stories.

How will these stories help? Newly diagnosed patients can better understand the treatment journey, while gaining the information they need to advocate for themselves and make informed decisions.

But most importantly, they can hear how others cope, emotionally and physically, giving them hope and a sense of what to expect during a difficult time.

Spent today working with Mackenzie Health celebrating employees making service milestones for an upcoming event.

We filmed short interviews, and b-roll, with six employees in two hospitals over seven hours. Quite a lot of setting up, moving around, and packing up. Flexibility is the name of the game when working in a hospital.

Two fabulous ladies from food services said they love their job because food is what makes patients happy and makes them smile!

This week we spent a day capturing headshots on location for a corporate client,

How we did it:

We planned for a 1.5 hour set up time where we offered three options for backgrounds to the communications team. Together, we opted for a more natural, bright, and authentic setting of glass windows for the background as this team is friendly and approachable, and a studio backdrop would be too formal.

We shot 18 head shots in 2 hours. By documenting the settings and set up we will be back in a few weeks to capture the last employees.

Are your headshots reflecting your brand?

We know being in front of the camera is daunting for everyone. We recently spent a day creating our own evergreen video content.

These videos can be reused months later, because we know platforms don't show your content to all of your followers. Small investment in time for lots of high quality content is worth it.

At The Art of Storytelling, we know the power of a strategic video to help a not-for-profit amplify its impact. Each year, we donate one free production to a local Dufferin County organization. This year, it’s the Orangeville Food Bank.

We had a great time documenting a day in the life of the Food Bank, seeing firsthand the “surprise chain management” challenges they navigate every day and the incredible work of 250 volunteers.

The need for support is ongoing, and we hope our storytelling helps drive fundraising all year long. If your not-for-profit could use help sharing its story, we offer reduced rates to help amplify your impact.
