We still don’t know where to start when it comes to our volunteers… because “thank you” never quite feels big enough.

They are the heartbeat of the food bank.
The hands behind the shelves, the quiet strength behind the scenes.

Showing up early, staying late, lifting, sorting, stocking, and always, always leading with kindness.

Over 200 volunteers choose this community every single day. And because of them, our doors open, our shelves are filled, and families are supported with dignity.

They are, quite honestly, superheroes in disguise.

And together, we can build a well nourished community.

Sneak peak behind one day in Ottawa filming for . Often diagnosed at an advanced stage, ALK-positive lung cancer is a rare form of lung cancer that we knew nothing about a few months ago. We had the opportunity to film two stories last week for ALK Positive Canada, with a quick trip to Montreal and Ottawa.
