For a moment, everything feels still.
But behind the haze, there’s a community facing something anything but still.
To everyone in Summerland affected by the wildfires, those who have had to leave their homes, those waiting and watching, and those working around the clock to protect what matters most — our thoughts are with you.
This photo was taken in the middle of that haze. One person, one paddleboard, surrounded by smoke and silence. It feels almost peaceful at first glance, but knowing what lies beyond the frame changes everything.
The smoke may obscure the view, but it can’t erase the strength of a community.
