I’ve been trying to figure out how I can marry my passion for fine art avant garde and high fashion. The more outrageous, the better in my wild and wonderful creative world. If I’ve learned anything in my 49 years hanging out on this planet, it’s to not limit yourself. Not everyone will appreciate what you do, and that’s ok! When it comes to art, let your soul sing whatever song it wants to.

I saw this dream wire mesh online and said she could make a dress out it and I could not have been more delighted with how it turned out. She (and her amazing hubby, Wayne) created it on set in less than an hour. Add to that the incredible hair and make up by and unbelievable posing by .3768 and literally all my dreams came true in one afternoon. 🥰

I’m just so grateful for moments like this. It was such a fun afternoon and ultimately that’s what matters most. Art will come and go but creating meaningful experiences with awesome people is what you will look back on and remember one day. 🫶🏼

This day was so special for so many reasons. To begin with, my dear friend and I went to high school together and hadn’t seen eachother since our graduation 32 years ago! We have been trying to make a collab work for a few years now after learning we were working in the same “industry” and we finally made it happen this past weekend. And what’s even cooler is that our amazing model, grew up in the same home town as us back in little ol’ Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Talk about a small world! 🥰

On top of that I finally had the amazing opportunity to work with one of the industry’s best hair and make up artists, . We have been trying to connect as well and the stars seemed to align when everyone was able to make it work.

We had so much fun and I’m thrilled to be able to share our work. 💝

My muse. My daughter. She landed in China today after accepting a 3 month modeling contract with this fall. She’s had the opportunity to do some international travelling over the last couple of years so I don’t worry like I used to but I did ask her to please just nod and smile when I go into mom mode and ask whether she has drank enough water.

Matéa is the kindest human you will ever meet and I couldn’t be more proud of her. She cares deeply for people and even though she looks so serious in her photos, she is truly one of the sweetest and most lighthearted people you will ever meet.

Going through these images that we have done together over the years gives me all the feels. It’s not lost on me that it’s so special to have these moments with her. 🥹

I swear these two were actually sisters in a different lifetime. We met Morgana back in 2020 when she asked to photograph Matéa. Both were at the start of their careers (Morgana photography, and Matéa, modelling). They connected right away and have become the best of friends.

Life is always just “better” when Morgana is around. Nothing makes me happier than hearing the two of them laughing downstairs or creating in the studio. I don’t think there is anything more special than their friendship. 🥹

I have always wanted to do a shoot of them together and we had so much fun having a creative play the other day. I’m so proud of them both and would love to encourage you to check out their pages as they are both incredible photographers and Matéa is off to China next week for a three month modelling contract.

I love them both dearly and just know they are going to accomplish the most amazing things.

I don’t normally photograph maternity sessions, but I couldn’t resist this opportunity — especially knowing that is truly one of the most gifted portrait photographers… period.

She needed absolutely no direction when it came to posing, and we had so much fun curating the wardrobe together. Two of the looks were simply pieces of fabric wrapped and draped around her — such a beautiful reminder that you don’t need expensive things to create powerful, artistic images.

For those of you who have only followed Irene online, I can assure you she is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Beyond her creativity and talent, she is a genuinely kind, grounded, and lovely woman — and I have no doubt she is going to make the most incredible mama. 💕

When reached out to discuss a shoot to elevate her (already amazing) portfolio, I asked her what she wanted to focus on. She shared and then later asked if we could have a little fun at the end and do a fine art shoot inspired by the late French actress, Brigitte Bardot. It obviously didn’t take long to reply eagerly with a resounding “yes”!

I found the faux fur coat at a thrift store for $50 and everything else was already in the studio so we were set! I was so grateful she asked for hair and make up because, as always, Vanessa and Tara delivered the most epic look for her! They always take things to the next level at our shoots!

It didn’t take Haley any time to get into character and she didn’t leave anything on the table with her posing. We blasted some French music, got the fog machine going and had so much fun. I love all types of photography but fine art has my heart. 🤍

More to come from this awesome shoot! I’m so excited about this beauty’s future. She’s one to watch. 💝

What a day with ! We had so much fun having a creative play in the studio and she absolutely delivered! We used her playlist which had everything from Queen to ABBA so I thought this was an appropriate song to use. These are just a few of my favourites from the shoot!

I popped into a thrift store to look for something for our annual family Christmas photo and saw this dress sticking out in the gown aisle. I was with my husband so I tried to contain my excitement and play it cool as we causally walked through the store until I couldn’t help it anymore and ran over to see it. It needed some adjustments but the skirt and color were perfect. I got home and had my daughter, try it on and it was the perfect fit so I pretty much begged her to let me shoot her.

I’ve had this wall paper forever and I just used some double sided sticky tape to put it up and then had so much fun creating a set. I’m really into “hauntingly beautiful” vibes or “romantic goth” so I asked if we could borrow her her boyfriend’s deer sheds that he collects (for my animal lovers, he goes out in the spring and finds these sheds and collects/sells them). I ran out to an amazing little antique store in Okotoks called and found the window and then just added some additional pieces and of course, smoke. I absolutely love working with my daughter, Matéa. She’s an incredible model and it’s extra special to have these images of her.

I’m looking forward to diving into more fine art work in 2026. It’s truly where my heart is.

Build Your Book with Keira! We had such a wild afternoon playing around with different outfits and lighting set ups! While I always trying and have a plan, I can genuinely say it’s so much fun to get spontaneous and I find that’s when I create the work I’m most excited about!

Had a little bit of fun with the way I’m posting this one. Curious if you prefer this way over how I shared my original post with Narda. Sometimes we can take creativity too far…or can we??
