Unlike most full-time photographers I’ve met, I came into this field after a 20-year career in Multimedia Systems and Information Technology. Photography started as a serious hobby — something I explored through college darkrooms while studying electronic engineering — but in 2010, I left the corporate world behind to pursue life behind the lens. Based in Vancouver, Canada, I now work as a freelan
ce photographer covering sports and live events with a documentary mindset. Over the years, my cameras have also taken me on some unforgettable journeys — from the icy reaches of Antarctica and Alaska to the vast Sahara, the Andes, and the ancient streets of India and Cambodia. I’ve explored the Mediterranean coastlines of Italy, Turkey, and Greece; wandered through the UK, Scotland, and France; and recently returned from photographing the raw landscapes of Iceland and Morocco. My passion lies in capturing unscripted moments — whether it’s a fast-paced rugby match, a quiet scene in a mountain village, or the shifting light of a desert sunrise. Adventure travel and photojournalism have become the twin engines of my work, each one feeding my love for real, honest storytelling through photography.
