People talk about the chaos a new baby brings (and yes, absolutely) but there’s also a stillness to the first weeks that you can’t fake. Building the connection. No posing, no performing, just a family quietly falling in love with their newest member.

This is what I show up for. Along with the big milestones, it’s also the soft, unrepeatable ordinary of those early days. Gone before you know it, unless someone catches it.

Fly-on-the-wall photography. Minus the wall. Minus the fly. Mostly just me, crouched behind an orchid.

I do love a good candid and I sometimes back up to hide behind a doorway, a branch, your houseplant having a moment on the windowsill. Anything that lets me capture you immersed in the moment (but not in a creepy way!) Same energy as a fly on the wall. But a better outfit and zero buzzing, I promise.
