Uprooted. 🌱
As another posting season begins to wind down, I wanted to finally share this image.
This photograph holds a little piece of what it means to be a military child — to grow, to adapt, to say goodbye, and to find a way to bloom wherever life plants you.
The dandelion represents the resilience of military children. Its seeds can travel far, carried by the wind, taking root somewhere new. And the moving truck in the background is a quiet reminder of how often these little lives are uprooted and replanted.
I love that he is reaching for the seed as it drifts away. There is something bittersweet in that moment — knowing that leaving doesn't mean the end of growing.
Uprooted, but never without roots.
And to all of his friends who have been posted away this year — we wish you the very best on your next adventure. May you find wonderful new places to grow, new friends to make, and always remember the friendships and memories you leave behind. 🤍
