Low-key, here is some of the best advice we can offer to all you couple busy planning your weddings right now...
..Be at your cocktail, spend time with your people!!!!

It's a time you'll never get back, with the people you love most who are ALL IN ONE ROOM. When does that ever happen?

"But guys, we want great photos of us too?"

Sneak out at the end of the cocktail for fifteen minutes, when everyone is finding their seats and getting their orders in. Think of it as 'catch up' time between the two of you coming off the buzz of your ceremony and seeing all your people. It's also usually around the time when the best light is shining and surprisingly, a moment of quiet in between the chaos that you never know you needed.

Trust us, you can have your cake and eat it too. By that I mean, you will have great photos together and yes, you must plan to be at your cocktail and make those memories too!

What backyard wedding dreams are made of.
Marrying underneath the apple tree in your backyard, with your son in your arms and your closest surrounding you. Honestly, I don't know if it gets any better than this.

Grandma smooches, a trio of crying aunties & a never ending party (with said grandma on the dancefloor!) That's what it's all about and we are here for it all. ⁠

Last weekend, we connected with a past bride who had just lost her grandfather. And she showed us the picture that they used for his eulogy, and it was a beautiful, timeless candid of him grinning ear to ear that we captured during reception. This is why we do this. The real moments, the people you love, the memories that you'll keep forever, it's truly a gift to have these moments.

So much love for these two and making their wedding day all about what mattered to them. Things we loved.. Their fur babies stitched onto custom napkins, opting to be present for the cocktail hour (heck yes!) and creating the most vibey atmosphere of our dreams.

Ps. It was also the hottest day of the year, and still turned out to be one of the funnest weddings we've ever shot. And yes. Most shirts were off by the end of the night, haha.

The vibes. The colours. The incredible ambiance in that glassed-in sanctuary and eating the most delicious meal.

These two were very focused on wanting to *feel* their day, be a part of it and enjoy it with no stress and no structure. J is an introvert like me (jessy), keeping things easygoing is a MUST (center of attention is not our jam haha!) and these two totally nailed what felt like a very snazzy party which they also got married at 😉
