Lisa & Andrew’s wedding had everything—perfect weather, a vintage car, and the most gorgeous flowers (designed by Lisa’s sister!). But what made the day truly special was them. Lisa was so on top of everything, making the day flow seamlessly, while Andrew kept her smiling and grounded through it all. Who says weddings have to follow a traditional timeline? This couple chose a brunch wedding and by 7pm, they had exchanged vows, enjoyed a delicious meal with their guests, and ended their day with beautiful sunset portraits. It was a day full of love, celebration, and incredible light, all while staying true to what felt right for them.

Brunch weddings are proof that you can design your day however you want—whether that means a cozy morning ceremony, mimosas with your meal, or a free evening to unwind and enjoy the spa. When you plan a day that reflects your personality and priorities, it becomes uniquely yours.

So far, every single engagement session I've done in 2024 has been threatened by a perilous thunderstorm. Fortunately one did not materialize this time and instead I got to spend the (crystal clear) evening getting to know Kyla and Momo. Their idea for their engagement session was so much fun and unique to their love story - I love when couples pick a location or theme that is sentimental to them! Can't wait to share photos of their wedding in a few weeks, but for now here are some shots from our time at Oakes Garden Theatre and the other attractions on Clifton Hill.

So far, every single engagement session I've done in 2024 has been threatened by a perilous thunderstorm. Fortunately one did not materialize this time and instead I got to spend the (crystal clear) evening getting to know Kyla and Momo. The first time I ever visited Tapestry Hall in Cambridge, I absolutely fell in love with the space. I was especially mesmerized by "Meander" the living sculpture hanging from the ceiling of the venue. Taking inspiration from the nearby Grand River, the piece has about 100 motion sensors that react with sound, light and movement, ultimately bringing the sculpture to life. I genuinely could have spent ages taking portraits in front of it from every possible angle!

The lighting, the location the loveeee 😍😍😍 One of the most thrilling things for me as a photographer is looking down at the preview screen of my camera and seeing that the magic of the scene was captured exactly as it was in that moment. I has such a fun time with Adam and Isabel - I'm so lucky to work with so many couples who are excited for their session and are willing to lean into the process! Can't wait for the wedding ❤
